Pretty Grumpy

I've loved Grumpabella since the day I laid eyes on her. Just look at her, don't we all feel like that in the mornings? Right now I am sans the cup of coffee, but otherwise that could be me on any day of the week.

This card is for this weeks Bella Sketch Challenge BSC17. Thank you Jamie for giving me the inspiration to dust off my Bella's again :)

I loved this stamp set from GinaK when I first saw it. Unfortunately I haven't had much time to play lately, but I finally got to ink it up today for the Sketch Challenge SC165.

Kimme, Hanna's Friend

As soon as we started seeing previews for this Hanna Stamps set I knew I HAD TO HAVE IT! The official name is Domestic Goddess, but my friends have renamed it Kimme, Hanna's friend. Apparently I like to clean, or I do it often, or I am compulsive or something....I'm not quite sure. I do like to vacuum though so I'll just leave it at that.

After stamping the image I trimmed down the sides and along the bottom, I decided to make the vacuum hang off the image a little bit, so I cut around it. I layered the image on Soft Sky and Wild Wassabi card stock. I colored white ribbon, brads and flower using my Copic Markers in order to make them match the image. I love that I can do this. It means that I need fewer supplies but have more versatility with my accessories.

Details

Stamps: Domestic Goddess by Hanna Stamps
Ink: Brilliance Graphite Black, Copic Markers
Paper: PTI White, Soft Sky, Wild Wassabi, Rachel DSP by SU!
Accessories: White Grosgrain Ribbon, Flower, silver brads, flower brad from Queen and Co.

Sypathy

It's Wednesday and time for another challenge with my Sassy/Fab Friends. This week we were to make a Sympathy card without any flowers. It was difficult to find something formal enough that wasn't flowery. I really couldn't use any of my DP and half my stamps. So I decided to use the large flourish from Baroque Motifs. I know there is a small flower in the flourish, but I managed to cut it off, I left the little ferns, as I was told that was ok. This is a very simple card. Nothing fancy, but I think it serves it's purpose well. These are cards that none of us enjoys making, so at least now I have one ready for the next time I need one.

Stamps: Baroque Motifs by Stampin' Up!
Paper: Whisper White
Ink: Groovy Guava, Wild Wasabi

My Good News

A few weeks ago I said I had some good news...now that all the families are informed I can share it with all of you (although I know many of you already know. The slide show explains my good news and displays my first digi-scrapping project :) Don't worry, I have not retired my stamps, but I made the slide show into little books to send to the grandparents (and one for myself) and really didn't want to duplicate everything 4 times.

Non-Card Item

It's Wednesday, time for a new Sassy Challenge. This week we were to make a non-card item. Since I had picked up a few of these mailboxes back in January I figured it was time to finally decorate one of them, and this gave me the perfect opportunity to do it.

I really didn't do all that much to this mailbox. I covered the outside using a 4"x12" piece of Stampin' Up!'s Slumber Party Designer Paper. I adheared the paper with red sticky tape. I wrapped the edges of the mailbox with Chocolate Chip Taffeta Ribbon and tied some of the same ribbon and pink taffeta ribbon around the flag. The sentiment is Rectangle Greetings from GinaK. I received some white flower pretties in a RAK and decided to try coloring them with my Copic Markers. I like the results on most of them. The flower and heart brads are from Queen and Co.

I'm not sure what I am going to do with this cute little mailbox now that it is finished. Maybe I will go out tomorrow and get a few candy bars for DH and slide them inside for my Sweetie. Or maybe I'll just eat the candy bars and hide the mailbox until next year :)

Sassy Valentine

Sorry I have been MIA for a few weeks. I have been working on a few big projects, one I will be showing you in the next few days. But here is my latest weekly challenge with my Fab/Sassy Friends

This week we were to make a Valentine that didn't have any hearts on it. I just happened to get this cute little Elzybell stamp "Hugs" earlier this week from a friend of mine. I think it is sooo cute and fit this purpose perfectly.

Stamps: Holidays and Wishes (SU!) Hugs by Ellzybell
Paper: River Rock, Pixie Pink, PT White, BG Perhaps
Ink: Black, Copic Markers
Accessories: White Ribbon (colored with copics), silver brads (colored with Copics), Word Window Punch, Corner Rounder

PS...sorry about the photo quality, my DH took the picture for me. I guess I've learned that lesson ;)
