Friday Fun Challenge #33

Hi all! Boy are my hands tired!!! I had a lot of fun last weekend doing the VSN challenges and then spent much of this week commenting on the wonderful creations in the gallery. Great Job to everyone that participated.

Now on to this week's FFC. Kim challenged us to make a card in red, white and blue in honor of Memorial Day being celebrated on Monday. This was a difficult task for me. Being a military family it seems like everyone likes to give us stars and stripes, red, white and blue items. Most times it is a sweet gesture, but just not our style. SO, rather than making a Memorial Day card that I would probably never use, I decided to use the colors a different way.

(sorry for the lousy picture, I will try to get a better one later today)

I LOVE this Hanna stamp. The official name is Domestic Goddess, but my friends thought it should be named after me when it first came out. In fact, when I showed this card to my husband last night his comment was, "But, you like to vacuum." What can I say? I really do like to vacuum, especially with my Dyson. I guess that's why it's so surprising that I haven't used this set in a very long time. You might notice that Hanna's hair is a little brighter, just in time for summer. Yes, the sun has added a little extra shine to our (mine and Hanna's) hair already this spring. I kinda like the sentiment clipped onto the side of the card like that, but since I can't get it into an envelope, I may add it to the inside instead.

Details:
Stamps: Domestic Goddess ~ Hanna Stamps, Riding Vacuum ~ Rubber Impressions

Paper: Pacific Point, Riding Hood Red, PTI White, Cupcake ~ Basic Grey

Be sure to check out the other Friday Fun Team Cards. I have added the links to my side bar to make it easier for you all. If you are going to play along, please be sure to add FFC33 to your keywords and add a link in my comments. I would love to see what you can with this color scheme!
