I had a minute to play around with sketch challenge 390 over at Splitcoast Stampers last week, but never got to upload it. This is a fun little summer card. I love the little ants in this set and the paper makes a perfect picnic background.

New Life for Old Notebooks
My kids start some fun summer classes tomorrow so I had to gather up their supplies today. At the end of the year they came home with their composition notebooks with only a hand full of pages used, and of course their names and the intended use of the notebook written across it in big letters. I was so annoyed, BUT, I knew that I could alter a composition book, so they will be starting class tomorrow in style. They certainly will be able to identify their notebooks easily, but I still had to put their names on them since they are taking the same classes. I did these REALLY fast but they will be able to survive the 2 weeks they are needed, and if they don't use many pages, they may make it through the second session as well. :)
I hope you have a great week!

You may notice a new badge on the side of my blog. Last week I became Copic Certified. Yeah! I got to play around with my markers a bit making this card using a Your Next Stamp image. Really good quality stamps and fun images to color.

I'm BACK!
Wow, really? I have a blog? I think I forgot about that. After taking a year off from posting and paper crafting I have decided it's time to get back at it. Thank you to those of you who have checked up on me and for those of you who are still out there following me. I have a few projects to show off so I will be scheduling some posts over the next couple of days and by then I hope to have more new things to show you too. I am very excited to rejoin you all.
Teacher Gifts
It's the end of the year and time to start thinking of ways to thank those who have taken care of our kids over the past 9 months and helped them to learn and grow. My girls took lavender plants to their teachers for Teacher's Appreciation Day.
This was a good way to use up some scraps of material I had sitting around. It was fast and easy to wrap the material around the plant base and then just do a little stitch with some bakers twine from The Twinery, and tied it off. It dressed up the plastic pots and then I used the mini clothes pins to attach the cards.
Inside the cards I wrote:
