InStyle Stamps Blog Hop

Hi all!  It’s the last Friday of the month so we are going to hop along with the InStyle Stamps design team today.  You should have hopped here directly from the InStyle Stamps Blog, if not you will want to start there so you don’t miss anything. Also, I am combining my efforts and my project doubles for this week’s Friday Fun Challenge, and since I didn’t get a post up last week, I decided to incorporate that challenge in too.

The theme for this month’s hop is celebrating friends.  I decided to make a little seed packet pouch because friends are like flowers, they each add a special bit of beauty and joy to your life.

The image is on a belly band which slides off and reveals the sentiment and the seed packet inside.  This was a fast and fun project, but I hope you enjoy it.

Now you should hop over to Karin’s blog to see what she has created.

Also, be sure to stop by and see what the other Friday Fun Chicks have done with this week’s challenge to use PLAID on a card.  Last week the challenge was to use at least 3 circles on your creation, the BasicGrey paper I chose for this project took care of both of those challenges.  See what Jimmi, Sherry, and Christi have done.

InStyle Stamps February InSpiration Challenge

It’s Wednesday, that means it’s challenge time at the InStyle Stamps blog.

Here is the InSpiration piece:

Let’s take a look at my card:

If you look closely you can see the microbeads I added coming from the watering can which makes it look a little like water.

I took inspiration from the window in the picture to create the layout.  The decorative paper is from Bazzill’s new Grandma’s Feather Bed line and matches the wallpaper in the piece pretty well.

Please play along with us and you can win a prize.  See the InStyle Stamps Blog for more details.

Valentine’s Day Blog Hop

Happy Valentine’s Day!!!  Today we are celebrating with style and hopping along a gazillion blogs.  Thanks to Taylor Usry for organizing this hop filled with wonderfully talented ladies and awesome prizes from some great companies.  To find out more information please see Taylor’s blog.

You should have hopped here from Jane Matsumoto’s Blog.

I decided that my girl’s teacher needs an extra special Valentine this year.  I mean, she deals with 20ish 4 and 5 year olds every day for 6 hours and I know that I depend on her to give me a  break from just 2 5 year olds.  So what is the traditional Valentine’s gift?  A dozen flowers.  Here are my sweet caramel kiss dozen of flowers.

I gave my Cricut a work out today making these little hearts for the flowers and several other hearts for the kids to make Valentine’s at school tomorrow and Tuesday at their parties.  (I’ll show you those later ;) )

As I said before the list of hoppers is tremendous:

Think Spring

The sun is out!! The sun is out!!!  The snow is starting to melt and today we may even be able to go outside without bundling up from head to toe.  In honor of this wonderful spring day I have a little something to share.

I used a stamp from Patty’s Pretty Posies available at InStyle Stamps Store.  I also used the new  Bazzill Grandma’s Featherbed decorative paper.  Isn’t it YUMMY?

I hope you enjoy your day and I hope the weather is as delightful for you as it is for me.

Friday Fun Color Me Happy

Happy Friday.  I know that we are seeing a lot of pink and red around town this week preparing for Valentine’s Day, so this should be a welcomed change.  One of my friends posted that she loved this outfit for her daughter and she was going to be inspired and try to knit something like it, I took that challenge by making a card instead :)

InspirationSpring

And here is my card:

I mimicked the stripes and the texture and then the hair ribbon is represented by the bow, while the necklace is represented by the rhinestones on the moon.  I love this stamp and the saying.  “I love the Crescent Moon…” ;)

Now go see what Jimmi, Sherry and Christi have done with this inspiration.

Friday Fun Challenge- Show Me Some Cleavage

It is my month to host the Friday Fun Challenges, I know I am late today I have just been super busy trying to catch up with everything after CHA.  My challenge to everyone today was to make a cleavage card, either a card with boobies/bra or just a criss-cross fold pattern on it.  If you know me you know that I am not shy about my boobies, I mean I don’t stick them in your face, but I like them and am pretty happy with them and don’t mind talking about them.  While we were out one evening in LA I happened to be sitting at a table of wonderfully creative people, many from Unity and a few other companies as well.  I was having a particularly difficult wardrobe problem most of the week it seemed.  My new bras were not cooperating with my tops and I seemed to be flashing everyone even when I didn’t mean to do it.  As I was explaining my boobie/bra issues to the girls Tommy heard the word boobie and perked right up.  He told me if I showed him what I got he knew where all the stamps were stashed ;)  Well Tommy this FFC is dedicated to you.  You get to see not only what I got but Jimmi, Sherry and Christi too ;)

Please forgive me for the elementary look to my card.  I had to go with what supplies I had on hand at the booth which were not very many.  My circles are probably not completely even, but that’s because I actually HAND cut them after tracing circles using the bottom of a cup.  Yeah, I went Old school.  So here is my card, enjoy.

Oh, and as you can see, in the little bit of free time I had on Tuesday we did a little shopping in an effort to remedy my bra issues in the future.

InStyle Stamps February Sketch Challenge

Howdy all!  I should be on a plane on my way back home from Los Angeles right now as long as there are no weather delays.  Phew, it has been a crazy couple of days at CHA, we met a lot of great people and InStyle Stamps will be coming to many stores across the country.  If you don’t see them at your local store in the next couple of weeks ask them to give us a call :)

Now let’s take a look at the February sketch.

Sample will be coming from me once I get home, celebrate a couple of 5th Birthdays and settle back into my craft room.  I hope you are all having fun in the snow.
